Paying fees

All items arriving in Kuwait from outside the country are required by law to be presented to Kuwaiti Customs. These items may be inspected and could be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other applicable charges.

Any customs charges are assessed and applied by Kuwaiti Customs authorities, not by Qafxpress.

How charges are calculated

Customs charges depend on:

• The contents of the shipment

• The country of origin

• The declared value of the item

• The sender and recipient details

Letters, documents, and items containing documents only are generally exempt from customs charges, subject to customs regulations.

Payment of customs charges

For postal and courier shipments, Qafxpress may pay import duties or taxes on your behalf (where applicable) to help ensure faster delivery of your item.

If any charges apply, we will notify you with a “Fee to Pay” notice, showing the amount that must be paid before delivery can be completed.

Customs handling fees

In addition to customs charges, Qafxpress applies a customs handling fee for processing imported items:

• Standard Qafxpress shipments: 8 KWD

• Express / Priority shipments: 12 KWD

For goods with a high declared value, additional documentation and processing may be required. In such cases, an enhanced handling fee of 25 KWD may apply to cover customs clearance services.

Customs regulations and fees are subject to change and are governed by Kuwaiti Customs laws. Qafxpress has no control over customs assessments but will support you throughout the clearance process to ensure smooth delivery.
